How do I become y enough to play a scary computer game?

I really really really reeeeally want to play Penumbra: Overture, but the thing is I'm so scared to. I scream at things in Nancy Drew! I'm a total chicken and I think it would, like, traumatize me lol. But I heard it's so good and it looks like fun to me and I DO want to play it but how to I get not afraid of it first!!!
