Will a modded controller really help in Call Of Duty MW2?

Hi I like to play mw2 (xbox 360) with my friends online for fun and I am tired of these stupid high level people bragging about how many nukes they get. Will a rapid fire modded controller give me the advantage even though the fal is the only weapon I can think to use it with. Thanks!
