Tips with paul mitchell's super skinny serum?

I really need help with my hair. I straighten my hair everyday and I have breakages, particularly the back of my head. My ends also curl out a lot and I use a andis ceramic straightener but that still doesn't control it.I've heard that if you hairspray your hair before straightening it will prevent more breakage when straightening but i've tried it and it doesn't exactly work, plus it reduces the softness in my hair and it's not easy to run my fingers through. And if there's a way to like smoothen and straighten breakages and make them not kink out or make them less visible, please say so. My hair looks bad enough as it is with all the surface breakage and I would appreciate my hair a whole lot better if there was a way to make breakages not kink out and just stay straight. And try to think of a solution that doesn't involve money, if there's a recommended serum or hair product out there. I also use paul mitchell's super skinny shampoo and conditioner. Thanks : )
