Some simple questions about the Ford Taurus 1996 3.0 V6?

Biker Dude is right! The 3.0 is probably the best American made engine around. I get 27 MPG's with mine, winter or summer. Easy engine to work on. GM sucks. They don't stand behind anything they make. Try collecting on a warranty issue! All their V6's before the 3.5 are engineer challenged. No wonder they are in bankrupcy!! They DO have aq carbon canister. It is a part of the emissions system. On many 3.0 engines, you can follow the "other" vac line from the PCV valve to it. Good luck!
