They sent me home with a fractured extremity underneath the nee was it right for the hospital to send me home?

They told me to go home and call monday for an orthopedic surgeon But until then I am at home trying to deal with this excruciatingly bad pain I was also wondering what I can do to help the pain I am, already taking pain pills but they still haven't helped and it's been 2 days since I broke it. Is there any remedies or something anything that can help the really bad pain !
