Thinking about starting up the banjo?

I've played guitar for about 4 years, and i'm thinking about starting up on the banjo. How difficult is the crossover? I play more fingerstyle guitar (Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Doyle s) than just chord stuff, so i'm thinking/hoping it'll be an easy transition...and on that note, any beginner banjo instructional books/cd's/dvd's i should keep an eye out for?
