Will going on a break help our relationship?

lately things been hard.we been going with each other for a year and a few months.we are sorta long distance. i only see him once a week,maybe only the weekends. i love him dearly. his sister hates me for no reason,her sister tried to start stuff foreal. she tried getting him to be with one of her friends and not me,he told me he hates this girl.and when the argument was over between him and his sister..he told me i am a bystander,and he thought i would leave for sure.and he loved me... and this month i haven't seen him for three weeks now. and i feel like he don't try to see me anymore. i know he loves me. but should keeping my distance help us be close together?
